A) Highlights and special Events:
Sh.R.P. Agarwal, assumed the charge of Chief Commissioner of Rly Safety w.e.f. 31st May, 2008 after superannuation of Shri Pranab Kumar Sen. He was earlier Commissioner of Railway Safety, South Central Circle, Secunderabad. CCRS addressed the meeting of chairpersons of International Transport Safety Association(ITSA) held in St. Petersburgh, Russia, from 25th to 28th May 2008 . In his presentation he discussed the role of Commission of Railway Safety in Safety of Rail Transport.
This association comprises of 11 members from different countries ,heading the organizations conducting independent investigations of accidents in transport sectors.
B) TECHNICAL MEETING Of COMMISSIONERS OF RAILWAY SAFETY :
Technical meeting of Commissioners of Railway Safety including CCRS along with Dy. CsRS was held on 31st
May, 2008, at
AYOG SAMACHAR , The Quarterly Newsletter of Commission of Railway Safety of April 2007 released .
